Dragon Q Energy was honored to attend the Zambia Ambassador’s Breakfast in Atlanta, Georgia—an anchor event of the Zambia Investment & Innovation Roadshow 2025. Hosted at the Buckhead Club by Global Atlanta, the gathering convened distinguished leaders including Zambia’s Ambassador to the U.S., Chibamba Kanyama, senior officials from the Zambia Development Agency, and prominent voices from the investment, energy, and innovation sectors.Â
Following the breakfast, Dragon Q was also invited to a one-on-one closed-door session with Ambassador Kanyama at the Georgia State University Russell Innovation Center for Entrepreneurs (RICE), providing a unique opportunity for direct dialogue on Zambia’s national energy and development priorities.
Advancing Humanitarian Energy Access
As a company driven by humanitarian applications, Dragon Q Energy sees expanding access to safe, reliable, and resilient off-grid electricity as a central mission. Energy access is not only critical for socioeconomic growth but also for public health, education, and community well-being. Our flagship Power Pole platform—combining high-output solar generation with underground battery storage—enables rapid deployment of clean power and communications infrastructure in even the most remote rural settings.
Participation in the Zambia Investment Roadshow allowed Dragon Q to showcase how its technology can align with Zambia’s renewable energy expansion and rural electrification initiatives, while also building relationships with decision-makers and potential local partners.
Partnering Toward a Zambia Pilot Program
Building on the remarkable work of Unite to Light, which has distributed over 2,000 solar lights across Zambia, Dragon Q Energy is exploring a scalable pilot initiative. By leveraging Unite to Light’s established community networks alongside Dragon Q’s Power Pole microgrid platform, this project envisions a transformative leap from individual lighting access to village-scale clean energy systems.
The proposed pilot would bring reliable electricity and connectivity to clinics, schools, and rural communities—advancing education, healthcare, and economic opportunity. By combining humanitarian reach with cutting-edge technology, the initiative aims to create a tangible foundation for sustainable and scalable rural development in Zambia.
Zambia’s Market Opportunity for Renewables
The Zambia Innovation Roadshow underscored a clear, emerging investment landscape. With the government’s 8th National Development Plan targeting expanded renewables, stronger grid stability, and rural energy access, Zambia is actively positioning itself for public-private partnerships and bankable solar microgrid projects.
Dragon Q Energy’s resilient battery storage and field-proven microgrid designs directly address the intermittency and reliability challenges of these projects, making the company a strong technology partner for stakeholders investing in Zambia’s renewable energy transition.

Looking Ahead
Through high-level engagement with Zambian officials and the presentation of a collaborative pilot proposal, Dragon Q Energy has taken a meaningful step toward supporting Zambia’s universal energy access and sustainable infrastructure development goals.
We look forward to expanding partnerships in Zambia, deploying innovative microgrid and storage technology where it is most needed, and ultimately driving lasting socioeconomic benefits for rural communities.
