Unite to Light Fall 2025 Fundraiser: A Resounding Success for Global Solar Electrification

The Unite to Light Fall 2025 Fundraiser brought together supporters, partners, and innovators in Santa Barbara, California, to celebrate and advance Unite to Light’s mission of delivering solar light and power to communities around the world that still lack access to electricity. The evening featured meaningful networking, fundraising initiatives, and live demonstrations that showcased the real-world impact of solar solutions on people’s lives.u

Unite to Light is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving lives globally through the distribution of solar lights and chargers to those in need. This year, the organization took an exciting step forward by sponsoring eight pilot locations for Dragon Q Energy’s PowerPole technology—a scalable, portable, and efficient energy storage solution designed to deliver reliable power anywhere it’s needed. During the fundraiser, Dragon Q Energy proudly pledged a PowerPole unit to support Unite to Light’s humanitarian electrification efforts. In a generous show of support, an individual donor matched the contribution, effectively doubling the impact and expanding access to clean energy in underserved communities.

The PowerPole by Dragon Q Energy provides dependable power and lighting to areas affected by energy poverty or disaster. Its rugged, modular design supports relief workers and families during emergencies, facilitates nighttime learning, and powers essential devices for communication and safety. By piloting PowerPole units with Unite to Light, Dragon Q Energy aims to demonstrate how advanced energy storage can transform humanitarian response and everyday life for vulnerable populations.

The event, aptly named “SUNday FUNday,” was a remarkable success. Thanks to the generosity of attendees and supporters, Unite to Light raised enough funds to distribute 5,000 handheld solar lights worldwide. Dragon Q Energy also showcased a demonstration PowerPole on-site, allowing guests to see firsthand how innovative energy technology can empower communities and drive sustainable change in humanitarian missions.
